Reunification Services

AlmusHealth believes finding the right home for those in transition is an essential service, and placement with a family member or authorized sponsor is best for the child. Onsite and virtual case management services support reunification.

AlmusHealth understands case management requires collaboration between case managers, child, the child’s legal representatives, and potential sponsors to complete the necessary background checks, assessment process, and sponsorship forms.

The goals of the program include:

  • Provide each child with an individualized care plan and improve the quality of care for children who need protection
  • Assist in locating family members, access sponsors, and support reunification of the child with a family member or appropriate sponsor
  • Prevent human trafficking and ensure the child is placed in a secure and nurturing environment

Become a Sponsor

Individuals interested in becoming a sponsor for an unaccompanied child can contact the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and complete the ORR Family Reunification Packet.
